In addition to a combination of powerful blast beats, white corpse paint and the correct dose of misanthropy, almost illegible band logos distinguish traditional Black Metal from whiny Emo bands. It was working with the drawn logo of the Berlin Drone/Doom/Avantgarde project RUINthat created the crypto-typographic grounding for our poster, made on the occasion of the record release party in the Berlin Volksbühne Theater. The motif was scratched directly onto a torched window glass, which served as the direct template for screen-printing.

Apart from a few festivals, the Swedish singer-songwriter José González has seldom played live in Germany over the last couple of years. He toured in early 2011 with The Göteborg String Theory, a music/art project that is also an international orchestra. As a present from the booking agency to the musicians, we created this art print for the German shows.

Dancing Pigeons@Kampnagel

Hamburg's new electro band discovery Dancing Pigeons are delivering powerful sets on stage, though they look that they haven't passed twenty years yet. Because of that and their fast growing fan base, they have been invited to Kampnagel's famous Sommerfestival this year. Our poster for this show reminds with its DIY asthethic of former times, when visual communication on the streets was reduced to "Who? Were? When?" crafted by hand in a simple way.
